Health centres

Calcutta, June 28: Asia Heart Foundation will set up two primary health centres in two villages in Birbhum that will provide, according to AHF, basic and quality healthcare facilities to an estimated 50,000 people living in those areas.

The health centres will be at Kareya village in Ilambazar block and at Kopai village in Bolpur.

“These two centres will start operations from this July. AHF will bear the complete project cost, which will be something around Rs 20 lakh a year,” said Kunal Sarkar, director of AHF.

He informed that AHF has rented two buildings to set up the health centres, which will be providing people with consultation, treatment, diagnosis and medicine free of cost for six days a week.
