Ranchi, June 28: Threats identified and a plan of action in place, the BJP state unit today vowed to win all 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state soon.
In order to corner the UPA over soaring prices and rampant corruption — and to counter the threat from China — the party members have resolved to intensify their mass campaigns on different issues. The party has also finalised the names of their candidates for the next Lok Sabha elections and aim to give rigorous training to the cadre.
In his inaugural address at the executive body meeting today, state president Pashupati Nath Singh said that it was high time that the party cadre unite in their thought, speech and actions.
Common people were fed up with the UPA rule and they look forward to L.K. Advani’s leadership with great expectations, he said. To make Advani a Prime Minister, the BJP has to win all 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state, which does not seem to be a very difficult task given the circumstances, he added.
“The Congress, RJD and JMM are supporting the state but they do not mince words while criticising this government — perhaps to save their own skin. The farmers are not getting seeds and fertilisers. We ought to champion their cause,” said Singh.
With the nearing of the elections, the party’s organisational set-up, particularly the booth committees, ought to be strengthened further, he said and every party worker will have to play crucial roles.
The party training in-charge Ram Pyare Pandey pointed out the security threats from China. China was eyeing Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, he said, so the BJP workers ought to gear up to fight the new challenges ahead. BJP national president Rajnath Singh will address the concluding session tomorrow.
