I am a 25-year-old man. Two years ago, my girlfriend broke up with me without citing a valid reason. A year later she came back to me and apologised about the entire episode. Now we are in a steady relationship and have spent some excellent time together. I would be extremely hurt if she does the disappearing act again. I really can’t imagine life without her. What help do you want, you dolt? She is with you, right? Do you actually believe I am P.C. Sorcar (or his thin daughter) who can make things disappear? My suggestion is just be normal without thinking too much. Your problem is you are too deep into thinking of all the terrible things that may happen and that is not the way to live, son!

I don’t get along with my brother-in-law. I have tried to improve the situation but to no avail. I find him irritating and pick up fights on non-issues. Recently, I found out that he even spies on me. He’s bent on tarnishing my image to my parents. My sister also believes his words completely and I have no one to take my side. How do I deal with the situation?

There is nothing to deal with: just ignore him. He probably wants more attention from you: he probably loves you silently. All brothers-in-laws are rascals and they are always up to no good so yours is no different. If you let him believe he is getting to you, he will do more of the same. Just ignore him and carry on with your limited life.

Not at all. Mamata Banerjee is normal and she has no boyfriend. Neither does Shilpa Shetty or so she says. So why are you so worried. Boys are like the rain. They are inevitable and they will come into your life sooner than later. So my advice is stop worrying and enjoy the life you presently have.
