With days to go for the launch of Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 on June 30, the channel has announced the four mentors who will prepare the participants.

Rockstar Himesh Reshammiya is back — minus cap, plus hair. He will be leading the Rock gharana which threw up last edition’s winner Aneek Dhar from Calcutta. His war cry remains “Jai mata di let’s rock”.

Singer Shankar Mahadevan takes up the reality show mentor’s mantle. He will lead the Lakshya gharana and his war cry would be “Har Har Mahadev”. Bengal-born Bollywood hitman Pritam graduates from chhote ustaads to bade singers. No prizes for guessing what his gharana would be called. The war cry of the Dhoom gharana would be “Dhoom macha de, duniya ghuma de.”

The fourth mentor Aadesh Shrivastava has had a long association with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and this time he is back again to train participants. He will lead the Jai gharana and his war cry would be “Jai ho, mangalmai ho.”

The Mahaguru for the first three weeks of the show will be Asha Bhosle.
