Sepak Takraw meet

Imphal, June 20: Scientific Age Youth Association, Heingang won the Double Regu event title of the 12th junior girls’ state-level Sepak Takraw Championship played at SAI NE RC Hall at Takyel today.

In the final match, Scientific Age faced some stiff challenge from Ibudhou Marjing Sports’ Union Club but managed to win the first set by 22-20 points.

Ibudhou Marjing bounced back in the second set defeating the Scientific team 21-12, leading to a tie-breaker. In the next set of the game, Scientific Age Youth Association wrapped up 15-11 points to secure the winning title.

Athokpam Lainingthou Sports’ Association (A) emerged winners of the Regu event of the 14th sub-junior Boys’ Sepak Takraw Championship defeating Ibudhou Marjing Sports’ Union Club (A).

In the final match, Athokpam Lainingthou tamed Ibudhou Marjing (A) 2-0, winning the first set 21-16 and the second set by 21-10 today.
