EB lodge complaint

East Bengal have filed a complaint with the IFA on Thursday regarding United SC winger Gouranga Dutta’s transfer. “Last season United SC took Gouranga on lien for the second division I-League. But they have signed the winger for the forthcoming season though he still is our contracted player. We have submitted a contract copy with the IFA in this regard.” Gauranga was unavailable for comment.

Bagan camp

Mohun Bagan will leave for a 10-day conditioning camp at the Mohun Bagan Academy in Durgapur on Friday. Meanwhile, Mohammedan Sporting, who are also having a week-long conditioning camp at Khardah, will be playing their Premier Division home matches at the Barasat Stadium. Sultan Ahmed, the club’s secretary said: “Our club ground will not be ready before the league starts. We have requested the IFA to allot our home matches at the Barasat Stadium.”

Table tennis

Subhra Das will meet Oihika Mukherjee in the nursery girls’ finals of the North Kolkata District Table Tennis Championship at the Burrabazar Yuwak Sabha on Friday. In the semi-finals on Thursday, Subhra beat Poulomi Das 9-11, 11-5, 11-8 while Oihika defeated Nilanjana Dey 11-5, 9-11, 13-11.
