Fitness camp

Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association has invited 53 probables for a monthlong physical fitness camp to be held here from June 28. The probables include several new faces along with those who have represented the state in Ranji Trophy and in under-19 tournaments last season.

Crash course

Guwahati: The Board of Sports of Assam will organise its annual special crash course in swimming at B.P. Chaliha Swimming Pool here from July 1 to 21. Interested children will be able to fill up forms latest by June 25.

ACA meeting

Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association has convened a general meeting here at 3pm on Saturday. The meeting will discuss the formation of the state Ranji team for the ensuing season.

K’boxing

Guwahati: The Assam kickboxers have bagged 27 medals, including three gold, in the 2nd North East India Kickboxing Championship at Paljor Indoor Stadium in Gangtok.

Guwahati: Assam Sports Journalists Association president Subodh Malla Barua has been elected vice-president of the Sports Journalists Federation of India.
