SE Railway win

South Eastern Railway bagged both the men’s and women’s title of the All Bengal Kabaddi tournament on Monday. While the men beat Calcutta Police 32-22, their women counterparts outsmarted North 24 Parganas 34-17 to emerge champions.

Barreto back

Mohun Bagan’s Brazilian striker Jose Ramirez Barreto is back after spending few weeks with his family in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The striker, who was supposed to be back on Friday, reached the city on Monday, said: “I am very happy to be back. Being a short one, this trip was different. I spent whole time with my family. Now I want to get back to business,” he said after his arrival this morning.

Table tennis

The Cossimbazar Table Tennis meet organised by the Barisha Club will be held at the Basket Ball ground, Silpara from Tuesday. The finals will be played on Sunday.
