New Delhi, June 9 (PTI): Rural Postal Life Insurance has announced an increase in the bonus for its “endowment assurance” scheme to Rs 55 from Rs 50 and expects a growth of 40 per cent in the current fiscal.

“In the 2007-08 fiscal, the premium we got was Rs 1,159.74 crore, a 27.8 per cent increase from Rs 907.09 crore in 2006-07. Viewing this growth we expect 40 per cent growth for the fiscal 2008-09,” chief general manager Suneeta Trivedi told reporters here.
