Thermax posts profit
Thermax Ltd has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 291 crore for 2007-08. Consolidated income stood at Rs 3,525 crore against Rs 2,363 crore in the previous fiscal, a 49 per cent rise. Income from exports rose 69 per cent to Rs 678 crore from Rs 401 crore a year ago. Consolidated earning per Rs 2 share was Rs 24.40 compared with Rs. 16.26 in the previous year. The company has announced a dividend of 400 per cent for 2007-08.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd’s revenues grew 26 per cent to Rs 1,790 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 1,424 crore in the previous fiscal. EBITDA grew 60 per to Rs 486 crore from Rs 303 crore a year ago. Profit grew 140 per cent to Rs 315 crore from Rs 131 crore in the previous year. Revenue touched Rs 491 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 against Rs 391 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
Omnitech InfoSolutions has posted a profit of Rs 131.56 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 compared with Rs 77.63 crore in the previous fiscal. Profit after tax jumped to Rs 25.57 crore from Rs 12.17 crore last year. For the quarter ended March 31, 2008, profit after tax increased 122 per cent to Rs 8.60 crore from Rs 3.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Net income grew 68 per cent to Rs 42.10 crore from Rs 25.05 crore in the last fiscal.
Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd has clocked an increase in revenues and profit after tax for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2008. The total revenue increased 1581 per cent to Rs 764.65 crore in 2008 fiscal from Rs 45.50 crore in the previous year. Profit after tax has increased 3002 per cent to Rs 406.70 crore in 2007-08 from Rs 13.11 crore last year.

Welspun India Ltd has bagged the quality supplier of the year award from JC Penny at a summit held at Plano in Texas. This follows the best vendor award received by Welspun from JC Penney in 2003. Welspun had also won the sustainability award in 2007 from Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
