Table tennis

Ohika Mukherjee will face Subhra Das in the nursery girls’ singles finals of the 24 Parganas (South) District Table Tennis Championships. While Ohika beat Nilayana Dey 11-9, 11-6, Subhra defeated Poulomi Das 14-12, 11-8 in the semi-finals on Thursday. Ohika also reached the cadet girls’ singles finals.

National pool

Second seed Dharminder Lilly and former Alok Kumar were ousted from the ONGC-Spring Club National 9Ball Pool Championships held at the Spring Club on Thursday. Lilly lost 5-7 to Chetan Chhabra while Alok went down 4-7 to Magesh. Third seed Devendra Joshi edged past Anil Poddar 7-6.

Chess meet

Dibyendu Barua Chess Academy and Allsport Management will organise the third edition of the Tea Board of India — Chess For Youth tournament to be held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium from Tuesday. It will continue till May 30.
