Dabur gets US permit

Dabur Pharma has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to market the generic version of EMD Serono’s Novantrone injection in 20 mg, 25 mg and 30 mg dosages. The firm’s abbreviated new drug application has received permission from the US authorities, a company statement said. Novantrone is used to treat multiple sclerosis.

Landmark

The Landmark Group will invest over Rs 4,000 crore to develop 12 properties in north India in the next three to four years. The company will fund the projects through internal accruals and funds raised from private equities. It plans to develop two five-star and one budget hotels in the next three years, which can involve an investment of about Rs 700 crore.

Piramal study

Piramal Life Sciences has started phase I study of orally active glucose-lowering compound P1736 in the Netherlands. The compound will be used to treat Type II diabetes. The study aims to determine the safety and tolerance threshold of P1736 before testing its efficacy on diabetes patients.

Vodafone

Vodafone Essar has introduced a Rs 148 bonus card and bonus pack for prepaid and postpaid customers, respectively. Customers can avail themselves of 1,500 minutes of talk time on each scheme while calling local Vodafone mobile numbers. This offer is available for the Calcutta and Bengal circles. The prepaid bonus card has a validity of 30 days.

Ratnabali Cap

Ratnabali Capital Markets has reported a 10.6 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs.18.18 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008, compared with Rs 16.44 crore in the previous year. The company’s board recommended a final dividend of Re 1 per equity share for 2007-08.

Century Plyboards has unveiled a range of laminates in its Centuryply Mica category. The company has introduced 36 designs such as wood grains, abstracts and fantasia and solid colours.
