Boy killed in wall collapse

A 14-year-old boy was killed when the boundary wall of a house on Hashpukuria Street, in Posta, collapsed on Sunday evening. Police said the wall collapsed while Soni Singh was trying to scale it in search of a cricket ball. He got trapped under the debris. Local residents took him to Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead. lTwo 14-year-old city girls, missing since Wednesday, were rescued from Azimgunge, in Bihar, on Saturday night. Police said the girls, both residents of Baguiati, wanted to go to Mumbai but had boarded a wrong train. Railway cops at Azimgunge took them in custody after spotting them loitering around the station.

Knocked down

A 68-year-old man was injured after being knocked down by a taxi on CR Avenue on Saturday night. Police said R. Lal was taken to Medical College and Hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical. The driver has been arrested and the taxi impounded

 

Two girls rescued
