Tezpur, May 16: Sivasagar, Tangla and hosts Tezpur today marched into the semi-finals of the 14th junior inter-district hockey championship under way at Tezpur District Sports Association ground here.

In the quarter-final clashes today, Sivasagar blanked out Guwahati 1-0, Tangla edged past Naharkatia 2-1 and Tezpur defeated Nagaon 5-1 in the tie-breakers after the match ended in a goalless draw within the stipulated time.

Mantu Das and Rupankar Bora of Tezpur were the highest scorers of the day having netted five goals each.
