Jessop net at Rs 11cr

Jessop & Co Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 10.79 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31. The company posted net sales of Rs 62.50 crore during the period under review. The paid-up share capital increased to Rs 61.45 crore against Rs 19.87 crore in the year-ago period.

PCBL pact

Phillips Carbon Black Ltd (PCBL) has entered into a joint venture with National Chemical Corporation to set up a carbon black facility having a capacity of of 1,00,000 million tonnes and a cogeneration power plant of 16MW in Vietnam.

SE Railway

South Eastern Railway (SE Railway) has generated freight earnings of Rs 553 crore in April 2008, a growth rate of 39 per cent. During the month, SE Railway loaded 9.9 million tonnes of revenue earning freight.

Satra profit

Satra Properties (India) Ltd has reported a 93 per cent jump in standalone income at Rs 194.23 crore for the year ended March 31 compared with Rs.66.19 crore in the previous year. Profit before tax increased 471 per cent to Rs 55.90 crore against Rs 9.79 crore a year ago.

Emami has launched Boroplus Light Triple Action Moisturising Lotion. The product is priced at Rs 35 (100gm) and Rs 5 (25gm).
