The second oldest photographic organisation of the country, Photographic Association of Bengal (PAB) is actively engaged in practising and promoting photography as an art for over six decades. The ongoing show portrays works by veteran octogenarian members and new members alike. The photographs on display vary widely in subject as in content and form. Portraits, landscapes and images of wildlife adorn the walls along with candid, surrealistic and compositional visuals.

Till May 13 at Max Mueller Bhavan: Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Calcutta presents film screenings, theatre collage and a symposium, 1968 Revisited: Ideological Dissent and Artistic Expression. Today, 6 pm: Live enactment of scenes from Suman Mukhopadhyay’s plays Kangal Malsat, Mephisto, Teesta Paarer Brittanto, to be followed by screenings of excerpts from his film, Herbert, 2005.
