After all Ranbir Kapoor is Rishi Kapoors son. So, of course parallels will be drawn between the two. But Ranbir and his film-makers seem to be obsessed with exploiting the star sons famous legacy. Sanjay Leela Bhansali referenced it in Ranbirs towel scene in Saawariya, which was a throwback to Rishis towel-dropping scene in Bobby.
And now, Yash Raj is following suit. They have lifted the name of Ranbirs next film Bachna Ae Haseeno from father Rishi Kapoors hit song (from his 1977 golden jubilee hit Hum Kisise Kum Naheen). The films theatrical promos are being shown along with Yash Rajs Tashan and guess what they begin with the old hit song bringing back memories of dad. And when Ranbir appears on screen, looking super dapper in blue jeans, pink shirt and a white jacket, it is Rishi all the way!
Bhoothnath director Vivek Sharma has already moved on to his next film even though his first hasnt released. He is launching producer Vashu Bhagnanis son Jackie in Kal Kisne Dekha.
Vivek says: I have started shooting for the film in Dubai. Its a romantic thriller starring Jackie Bhagnani and a newcomer, Vaishali Desai. Now we are going to South Africa in the first week of May. Seventy percent of the film will be shot in South Africa and rest of it will be shot in Mumbai. We are planning to release the film in August.
