Imphal, May 5: International player Govind Luwang continued to enjoy the top spot along with S. Premjit Singh garnering three points each in the third round of the 2nd Moirangleima Memorial Cash Prize Open Chess Tournament 2008 played at Chingamakha High School campus.

Top seed R.K. Bhogen along with sixth-seeded Th. Udoi Singh secured the second position with 2.5 points each.

R.K. Sudhirsana Singh along with T. Chittaranjan Singh, W. Bijoykumar Singh, Kh. Sunil Singh, Kh. Bhubon Singh and S. Tomei Singh have advanced further grabbing two points each.

In the under-16 age group, K. Poreikhomba beat Atap Khan while Y. Asha Devi defeated M. Ramakrishna and Nongnanbi Chanu beat Khs. Inao Singh.

However, the game between Nongdrenkhomba Singh and L. Romeo Singh ended in a draw on Sunday.
