Holiday Hotspot

Arindam Nandy,
Director

I went to Iceland in 2006 and really loved it! The place is simply out of this world. It is totally pollution-free and there are loads of natural spas. I was at Reykjavik, the capital. Most people I met on the road were tourists. Of course it is to be expected as the country is sparsely populated. There are hills, glaciers, one can even go for long drives. In fact, many of the James Bond and Tomb Raider movies have been shot in Iceland! Also it is one country where the sun never sets even after midnight in summer months. That was simply fascinating.

I would also love to go to Greece. I love the place for historical and mythological reasons. The literature of Greece is also an added attraction. Another place I would love to visit is Egypt. I have fantasised about the place ever since I was in school. The Nile, the pyramids, the market, I would love to see them all!
