It’s the season of political dramas. Close on the heels of ETV Bangla’s Lal Trikon is Aakaash’s Kurukshetra, which was launched two weeks ago. If Lal Trikon has Tota Roy Chowdhury as an aspiring politician, Kurukshetra has Sudip Mukherjee as the face of evil.
Sudip plays a corrupt MLA who slow-poisons his wife (Aparajita Auddy) and marries his sister-in-law (Chandreyee Ghosh).
“There’s a twist in the tale after Aparajita runs away from home one night with the help of her sister-in-law Rita Dutta Chakraborty. Then Sudip marries Chandreyee, who meets the same fate as her elder sister,” said producer Atanu Roy of Sweet Melody, which is readying two more megas, Dhoop Chhaya and Kaal Samudra. For both the soaps, Roy has got Saswata Chatterjee in the lead.
Kurukshetra airs Monday to Saturday at 8pm on Aakaash.
