Nalbari, April 23 (PTI): A fire broke out today in the room where arms and ammunitions seized during counter insurgency operations were kept in the office of Nalbari superintendent of police.
Superintendent of police Jitmal Doley said an electrical short circuit near the room caused the fire, which damaged arms and ammunitions along with some documents, but the room was not severely damaged.
Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames within an hour.
