WTO meet in May
New Delhi, April 18: Trade ministers of 151 WTO member countries are likely to meet in Geneva in the third week of May to prepare a blueprint for a global trade deal. “We are hoping to have the ministerial meeting (the highest policy-making organ of the WTO) in May to close the modalities,” commerce minister Kamal Nath said at an IIS-City Global Forum meeting here. Nath will meet US trade representative Susan Schwab on May 8 to bridge the gap between developed and developing countries on the issues of agricultural subsidy and market access for farm and industrial products.

Bangalore, April 18: Infosys Technologies has won a five-year outsourcing contract from US insurer Conseco. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Infosys will provide application development and maintenance services to Conseco, it said in a statement.
