BSF South best in third division

Punjab SC beat FCI East Zone by a solitary goal in the BHA first division group A match on Tuesday. ERSA defeated Police AC by a similar margin.

In group B action, Baranagore SC overcame Vivid (YHC) 1-0 while Belgachia United got past Chotonagpur RC 3-2.

BSF South Bengal emerged champions in the third division after topping the four-team championship round with nine points. They beat Paikpara Hockey Training Centre 2-0 in their final match. Bishalakshmi SA, who drew 2-2 with Entally AC, were runners-up.

Loreto Sealdah beat Loreto Entally 19-16 while Loreto House A overcame La Martiniere 36-18 in the mini division of the inter-school basketball meet on Tuesday.
