Salboni arrest

Midnapore, April 15: Police today arrested Majehar Hembram, 30, in connection with the killing of three CPM leaders in Salboni on Sunday. The police yesterday arrested Majehar’s elder brother, Babulal, a Trinamul Congress activist.

DYFI killing

Calcutta: A DYFI member was shot dead in South 24-Parganas, about 60km from here. Police said Dibakar Mondal, a small-time trader, was returning home when he was shot in the chest. SUCI supporters are suspected to be behind the murder.
