No free tickets at Eden

Calcutta: A city civil court on Tuesday refused to grant free tickets to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) members for the upcoming IPL matches at the Eden.

Judge Anindita Ray Saraswati refused to pass an interim order of injunction on the distribution and sale of tickets. The judge, however, fixed the final hearing on April 15.

Cricket Members Forum of Bengal, an association consisting of CAB members, moved a case before the court and sought an interim order restraining the association from distributing and selling tickets.

The petitioners had claimed that according to rule 15 (II) of the CAB, each member of the association — life, annual and associate — was entitled to a free ticket of any match played at the Eden.
