Kingfisher training centres

Kingfisher Training Academy plans to set up 25 centres in the country by 2010. “We plan to set up 25 centres nationally by 2010. We may be able to do that even earlier than that. In the next two months itself we will set up 12 centres,” executive vice- president Kingfisher Airlines Rajesh Verma said. He, however, did not mention the amount of money that would be spent on setting up these centres.

Aptech growth

Aptech Limited has reported 62 per cent growth in revenues at Rs 390.64 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007. Net revenues grew 18 per cent to Rs 99.51 crore from Rs 84.26 crore in the year-ago period. Profit after tax was Rs 2.46 crore compared with a loss of Rs 6.74 crore in 2006.

GTL rejig

Global Holding Corporation, the promoter of telecom infrastructure provider GTL Ltd, has consolidated its stake in the company to 32.35 per cent. It has acquired 2,547,749 shares amounting to a 2.69 per cent stake in the company, through an open market transaction. Calculated on the basis of the closing share price of GTL on March 19, which stood at Rs 236.10, the deal value amounts to Rs 60.15 crore

Pyramid films

Pyramid Saimira Production International Ltd will produce 52 films this year. The company has completed 6 films in various languages and has more than 7 films under production. The company also produces content for television and other modes. It will commence the production of 10 movies on one day and will invest around Rs. 35 - 40 crore in the project

Cummins

Cummins India Limited has unveiled three products for the domestic market at the opening of Power-Gen India & Central Asia 2008 exhibition held at Pragati Maidan. These products include 30/35 kVA low horsepower generator sets in the X series, and a 750 kVA high horsepower generator set in the QSK23 series.

Bacardi

Bacardi Martini Grand Prix 2008 will take place in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Pune and Goa. The winner will represent India in the world finals in Italy. Professional bartenders will participate in the event from more than 10 cities. In Calcutta, the event will take place on April 22, 2008.

TCS unit

TCS has launched its 20,000-seat development centre called TCS Sahyadri Park in Pune. The centre will be developed over a 50-acre land.
