Suri, April 2: A surgeon has been hospitalised with head injuries and internal bleeding in his eyes after being hit by the relatives of a woman who died after an operation to remove kidney stones in a Rampurhat nursing home .

“Dipak Chowdhury’s vision in the left eye has been affected,” said a doctor.

His house, near the nursing home 270km from Calcutta, was also attacked.
