Reward for nabbing criminals

Jamshedpur, March 26: Police will shortly announce a monetary reward to nab criminal Akhilesh Singh.

Other criminals whose names figure in crimes of grievous nature would face the same fate. Addressing the media during his two-day visit to the steel city, inspector-general of police (Ranchi zone) Ashok Kumar Sinha made these announcements today.

Kumar was here to inspect police stations and review the performance of his subordinates. He inspected the department of accounts, district crime branch and office of the deputy superintendents of police today. Tomorrow, he will go to the Golmuri Police Lines.

Kumar said the state is going to have a forensic science laboratory. “A senior scientist from Hyderabad having expertise in forensic science has already been appointed. Once the lab is ready, we will not have to go to Bangalore or Ahmedabad for conducting narco or DNA tests,” he said, adding that investigation into the Ashish Dey murder case is on in the right direction.
