Couple crown

You have heard of beauty contests and talent competitions, but what about a show that strives to crown the most multifaceted personality on the small screen? Mr and Ms TV a reality show spanning 14 days with the biggest and the best stars on television fighting it out to prove their mettle — is Sony Entertainment Television’s newest offering.

Part of the channel’s month-long reality extravaganza ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, Mr and Ms TV will witness a host of TV stars showcasing their talent — be it acting, dancing, singing, mimicry or even voiceovers! The starry line-up includes Jasveer Kaur, Shilpa Saklani, Chetan Hansraj, Swapnil Joshi, Aashka Goradia, Nausheen Ali Sardar, Karnvir Bohra (earlier known as Manoj Bohra) and Kushal Punjabi. They will form pairs with their performances centred around Bollywood. So recreating a famous Hindi film scene or matching steps to a superhit Bollywood number will be the highlights of this unique contest.

“Besides being a contest, the show will allow television stars to let their hair down and have a great time,” says participant Karan Wahi, who was last seen in STAR One’s Remix. Anchored by Shonali Nagrani, Mr and Ms TV will see the return of actress Sonali Bendre who will judge the show along with director Madhur Bhandarkar. “Not only will Mr and Ms TV give us a chance to display our talents in front of millions in the audience, it is also an honour to be judged by the likes of Madhur Bhandarkar and Sonali Bendre who are achievers in their fields,” says Aashka Goradia, better known as Kumud of Kkusum. A couple of pairs will be eliminated every week till the top three pairs fight it out in the grand finale on April 6.
