New Delhi, March 24: The name of the new chief of Air India is likely to be announced on Wednesday, ending weeks of speculation over the issue. The position of chairman and managing director of the National Aviation Company of India Ltd will fall vacant on March 31, the day V. Thulasidas retires.

London, March 24: Tata Motors is expected to take over Jaguar and Land Rover on Wednesday at an estimated cost of $2 billion. “The memorandum of understanding between Ford and Tata is likely to be signed on Wednesday,” Andrew Dodgson of the Unite, which represents the Ford workers, said.
