Chonburi (Thailand): Rahil Gangjee’s Asian Tour International campaign got off to a flying start with the Calcutta-pro blasting six-under 66 to be tied fifth after the opening round here on Thursday.

Gaurav Ghei and Amandeep Johl were tied 15th after turning in identical cards of four-under 68.

A 10th tee starter, Gangjee went on to slot birdies on the 13th, 15th, 17th and 18th holes to be four-under at the turn. He then made a birdie on the second and a birdie-bogey-birdie finish had him two shots off the lead.
