Birla VXL name change

SK Birla group company Birla VXL has received shareholders’ approval to rename itself Digjam Ltd. The shareholders have also authorised the board to issue preference shares of up to Rs 45 crore. Birla VXL’s board had approved the change of name at its meeting on January 31. Birla VXL manufactures fabrics for suitings under the brand name Digjam. According to the company, Digjam has a 10 per cent market share and a chain of over 4,000 retail outlets.

Hosiery park

The West Bengal Hosiery Association is planning to set up a hosiery park, which will be a special cluster zone for the hosiery industry. The park, which will come up at Jagdishpur, Howrah, is expected to generate 20,000 jobs.

Prestige

TTK Prestige has launched a range of non-stick cookware, Omega Deluxe, with features such as honey comb base designs, non-stick coating and an induction base. The products are priced between Rs 595 and Rs 1,550 and are available across all Prestige Smart Kitchen outlets.

Woodland

Woodland has launched a range of footwear for women. The products include sandals, peep-toe sandals, slippers, ankle boots and party wear sandals. Available in red, black, brown and khaki colours, the footwears are priced between Rs 3,500 and Rs 5000.
