Calcutta: Manipur retained the 16th senior national women’s football championship, beating Orissa 4-1 in the final in Haldia on Sunday.
According to information received here, NG Baladevi and M. Bandanadebi struck a brace each for the winners. For Orissa, Pinky Bampalmagr scored the consolation goal.
Manipur were leading 2-1 in the half-time.
Pinky, who scored 15 goals in all, was later adjudged the woman of the tournament.
