Finale frenzy

ICICI Bank clinched the Loser’s Plate. There was no beating the excitement of this match, with opponents Vodafone B chasing a score of 86. Adrenaline levels ran high as ICICI bowled four wides in the first over. “Keep calm and composed,” was ICICI skipper Nikhilesh Jain’s advice for his boys before the six-some took the field. The wise words did the trick and the bankers went on to win the match

Tollywood’s sporty boys took on hosts CC&FC in an exhibition match. CC&FC may have successfully chased a score of 53 in six overs, but there was no way you could curb the spirit of the tinsel town team. “What is important is to be on the field. It was our first event of this kind and we enjoyed every moment,” smiled actor Jeet. Said Jisshu: “I played U-19 cricket for Bengal. The field always gets me charged up. With just over a week of practice, we gave it our best.”

It was a hat-trick win for VCK Shares & Stocks. The men in blue, who had put up a score of 87, defeated HSBC EDP for the Main Plate by 20 runs. So what was the winning mantra for VCK? “On field we took every team that we played against as a challenge,” said skipper Kamlesh Pathak.

Some of the other prizes given out were Best Slogan, Best Dressed Team, Best Supporters Trophy, Best Batsman, Best Fielder and Most Valuable Player

The competitors for the Bowl Plate were NACIL (Air India) and Eveready. It was a tight match: NACIL put 66 runs on the board, and Eveready lost two wickets in the first over. In a nail-biting finish, Eveready scored their winning run with the last ball.

“We knew the score was achievable. We knew we could do it,” said Trilok Singh, the triumphant
24-year-old skipper

After the hectic on-field activity, the action shifted to the dance floor. The boys grooved to the beats of DJ Ravi’s heady mix of Bollywood tracks. There was Dard-e-disco, Dus bahane, songs from Welcome and the latest chartbusters from Race. Some demonstrated their finest Bollywood jhatkas, while others made an attempt to break dance, and the rest made the most of limited coordination!

Kashish was dressed to party in a pastel dress and high heels. The DJ and model was shy about taking the dance floor in the beginning, but soon showed off some graceful moves and a dazzling smile!
