Case 1: Rita Mehra (38), a resident of Argora Housing Colony, was suffering from joint pains for the past four months. She had given up on allopathic treatment. Then she turned to ayurvedic medicines along with Baba Ramdev’s yoga exercises.
After two months of treatment, she is now able to walk.
Case 2: Mohan Sinha (58), a resident of Manitola, Hinoo, was in the fourth stage of cancer. The chances of his survival were less.
He turned to “yog science” — a brainchild of Baba Ramdev — for a solution and is now happy with the progress.
Ranchi, March 13: Patients suffering from various diseases are taking refuge at Baba Ramdev’s clinic, Inshwarya Pitanjali Yogapith, which is receiving an overwhelming response.
Baba Ramdev will be visiting the clinic tomorrow. The centre opened on March 10, 2006. During his stay in the state capital Ramdev decided on opening a centre here. He had signed an MoU with the former chief minister Arjun Munda.
The first centre came up in Haridwar followed by Ranchi and now a new centre has also come up in Patna. Four “vaidyas” have flown in from Haridwar to man the centre here.
Over 250 patients visit the centre for treatment on any given day. Besides, a new yoga centre is also coming up at Yogapith, which would offer free treatment to patients.
K.L. Choudhary, a yoga trainer and disciple of the yoga guru, said patients receive treatment based on yog pranayam.
There were many instances where patients, who were unhappy with treatment at Vellore, were now taking ayurvedic medicines. The patients are not from Ranchi alone but also from Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Ramgarh, Giridih, Madhya Pradesh, Calcutta and Patratu.
The doctors at the centre claimed, so far, the centre has treated over 300 patients suffering from chronic diseases.
“Those patients, who have had unsuccessful runs at renowned hospitals are frequenting the centre and taking recourse in yoga therapies as preached by Baba Ramdev,” said trainer K.L Choudhary.
The patients suffer- ing from heart diseases, diabetes, kidney problems, piles, arthritis, cancer, blood pressure, depression and thyroid, among others, come to the centre.
The most astonishing part was that even cancer patients, who were in their final stage, came for treatment and got cured.
“I was very surprised to see that even after the advancement of medical science, patients believe in the yoga. There were many patients, who had come here after spending lakhs on treatment outside,” he said.
While citing an example of labour, Subhash Chandra Mazumdar from Hooghly, the trainer said he was suffering from liver sclerosis and could not afford an expensive treatment.
“The doctors of a hospital at Calcutta said he could not be cured. But somehow he got to know about us and came here. After following our treatment for two months he was cured. He was so happy that next time he brought his friend along who was also suffering from a similar disease,” the yoga trainer said.
