Want honest work

Manohar Lal Sharma
Doctor
Resident of Giridih

The municipality is going to get vast powers, hence, I am looking forward to such candidates who could direct the most important civic body in right direction so that Giridih became a better place to live in.

For more than two decades the civic body was almost dead and when the first board comprising ward commissioners, vice-chairman and chairman would come up, I would request them to do their work honestly during their five years’ tenure.

Till the 80s Giridih was known for its scenic beauty and had attracted several great people to this small town. But now no one wants to visit this place because of filth all around and pollution, be it from factories or noise.

As far as municipal work is concerned, there is no drainage system or proper streetlight, in Giridih.

The ambitious multi-crore project of a megacity is also pending for long and the new board should try to complete it at the earliest.

In fact, a lot of corruption has entered our municipality and the new team should try and check it.
