AIFF academy

New Delhi: The Goa government has allotted land to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to set up the much awaited football academy.

The land, measuring 125,000 square metre approximately, is located near Cuncolim. According to AIFF sources, the allotment of the land has been approved by chief minister Digambar Kamat.

Telecom majors Bharti Enterprises, which has already signed a deal with the AIFF, will finance the project.

The AIFF is planning to set up the academy with all modern facilities. They are already in contact with various national associations and top European clubs to run the academy in a professional manner.
