Held after wife death

Police arrested Samarjit Das from Panikhaity on Wednesday following the death of his wife Suma Das under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday night. Samarjit was after Suma’s parents accused him of murdering her.

Accident

Apurba Hazarika was injured when a vehicle knocked down the motorcycle that he was riding near Jalukbari on Wednesday.

Two arrested

Police on Wednesday arrested Gobinda Barman and Mohammad Kamal Hussain for the murder of police constable Mrinmoy Chakrborty last Saturday.

Land-grab

Dispur police on Wednesday arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in a land- grab case. The accused were identified as Gobinda Das and Shyamlal Gowala.
