City Cricket triumph
- Bud, Latasil match washed out

Guwahati, March 5: City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC) inflicted a 48-run defeat on Kingfisher Club in today’s match of the 1st Raishmodi Nunisa North East Twenty20 Cricket Championship at Latasil ground here.

CCCC won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 164 runs losing four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Chasing the target, Kingfisher men were restricted to 116 for nine.

Ranjan Deka topscored for CCCC with an unbeaten knock of 79 runs. Of the 56 balls that he faced, he slammed seven fours and four sixes. Ranji player Shiv Shankar Roy scored 31 runs for the team facing 22 balls. He hit three fours and a sixer. Gokul Sharma remained not out with 14 runs in his kitty. Dhiraj Chetri and Binod Sinha shared three wickets each giving away 12 and 25 runs respectively.

For Kingfisher, Harshvardhan Bagaria scored 48 with four boundaries and two over boundaries. Rahul Jain with 23 runs, Gaurav Bawari with 14 and Chirag Agarwal with 12 were the other notable scorers for Kingfisher. Sumit Jain captured grabbed two wickets for 35 runs.

The match between Bud Cricket Club and Latasil Cricket Coaching Centre was washed out and both teams shared a point each.

Tomorrow, River Rine Club will play Ankurjyoti Cricket Coaching Centre and the River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre will meet Kingfisher.
