SSB boss on recce

Siliguri, Feb. 28: D.R. Doley Barman, the inspector-general (IG) of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)’s Patna frontier, visited Panitanki on the India-Nepal border this morning and reviewed the situation in Nepal.

Barman has assumed charge on February 5. “The IG, on her first visit to the region, addressed the jawans on the border. She also took stock of the current situation in eastern Nepal where a strike has been on since February 13,” said an official of the 22nd Battalion of the Ranidanga sector that comes under the frontier.
