Imphal, Feb. 26: Andro Mahila Mandal Association booked a semifinal berth, defeating Sun Club Mongsangei 2-1 in the 4th S. Ronika State-Level Junior Girls’ Invitation Football Tournament at the Eastern Sporting Union ground today.

Andro Mahila Mandal Association will take on Kangchup Road Youth Physical and Sporting Association while Manipur Police Sports Club will meet Eastern Sporting Union in the semifinal on Thursday.

Twenty eight minutes into the game, the Sun Club girls drew first blood as H. Romi Devi managed to beat the keeper to her left to take the lead.

In the second half, the Andro girls seized the opportunity to launch frequent attacks and in the 54th minute, P. Devala sent a nice cross to the Sun Club penalty edge and S. Reena Roy shot home the equaliser. The Andro girls got their lucky break in the 77th minute as Ch. Bembem Devi delivered the goal of the day to fetch a win for her team.
