Calcutta: Sourav Ganguly is likely to miss Bengal’s first tie in the ensuing National One-dayers against Assam in Guwahati on February 28.

Though the CAB has kept him out of the squad, the former India captain will be available during the later stages of the competition. The selection committee named Laxmi Ratan Shukla as captain of the 14-member squad, which is scheduled to leave on February 24.

Coach Bharat Arun was learnt to be not happy with the inclusion of some new faces. Avik Chowdhury and Prasanta Sinha Roy are the rookies in the side.
