Siliguri: The top eight women’s seeds reached the pre-quarter finals of the 69th National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championship on Thursday.

Two-time national champion Mantu Ghosh of PSPB beat Papori Bora of Postal 4-0, while Mouma Das of PSPB defeated Bank Sports Board’s N. Arul Selvi 4-2.PSPB’s Susmita Roy defeated North Bengal’s Nandita Saha 4-1, Poulami Ghatak of PSPB defeated Tamil Nadu’s K.K. Narmada 4-0 and Kasturi Chakraborty of North Bengal beat Punjab’s Rajani Gupta 4-1.

In men’s singles, Subhajit Saha of PSPB beat Maharashtra A’s Eric Fernandes 4-0, Soumyadeep Roy of PSPB beat Tamil Nadu’s Sivananda Seshadri 4-1, A. Sharath Kamal of PSPB defeated Bengal’s Arup Basak 4-1. (PTI)
