Sania slips to No. 23 in doubles

London: Australian Open runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga moved up 20 place to No. 18 in the ATP rankings released on Monday. The Frenchman, who lost to Novak Djokovic in the final on Sunday, has 1489 points. Djokovic remains at No. 3 with 5165 points.

On the WTA list, India’s Sania Mirza moved up three places to No. 29. She is now Asia’s No. 1, replacing China’s Na Li, who dropped to No. 32.

Sania slipped five spots in the doubles rankings to drop out of the top 20 to 23rd.

On the men’s side, Leander Paes dropped two places to No. 15 with 2695 points in the individual doubles rankings.

Mahesh Bhupathi moved up two places to No. 19 while Rohan Bopanna surged up 12 places to be at No. 56.
