Man mantra
Textured foliage prints are in, and so are large-framed sunglasses

A few more weeks to go before winter makes an exit and spring is in the air. While we have seen loads of fashion forecasts for spring-summer 2008 at fashion weeks round the globe, it’s finally time to start introducing those trends in your wardrobe. And picking with care and an eye for what will suit you and your lifestyle is the key. So, before you set out shopping, browse through these 10 fashion essentials to see you through the season ahead, in style!

• Enzyme-washed linen summer jackets are a must-have for partygoers, if you want to look dressy yet different.

• Slim-fit or skinny jeans are the rage of the season since the lean look is in. So, invest in a pair without thinking twice.

• Ties have also slimmed down quite a bit. Co-ordinate your linen suits with these slim ties for a smart look.

• White-banded collared linen shirts are fashionable.

• For shirts, pastels are predictably in, so opt for shades like pistachio, fawn, powder blue and beige.

• Jodhpuri pants make the hottest trend in lowers this season. But grab them only if you’re the more experimental kind.

• The military look is back, so go ahead and grab a pair of six to eight-pocket cargo pants in a tone-on-tone camouflage print. Go for colours like beige and khaki.

• Textured foliage prints in earthy tones are fashionable. A mix of geometry and foliage is the latest style. Also in are neon pinstripes.

• Pointed-toe shoes in textured leather with vintage or antique finishes are a must-have for the feet. You can pair them with any partywear and formalwear, too.

• Get yourself a pair of large-framed sunglasses since retro is here to stay. Look for a design with studded temples or extra-wide temples. They look really cool.
