Aviva options

Aviva Life Insurance has introduced three more investment options for its PensionPlus, LifeLong, Life Bond 5, SaveGuard, LifeSaver Super and FreedomLife plans. Policyholders of those plans can now choose from index, enhancer fund and bond fund options in addition to secure, balanced, growth and protector fund investment options. The index fund will tract the Nifty 50 index through passive management of investment, which will be made in 50 companies constituting the stock index on the National Stock Exchange.

Franklin MF

Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund has announced a dividend of 70 per cent, or Rs 7 per unit, having a face value of Rs 10 each, under the dividend option of its Franklin India Bluechip Fund. The record date has been fixed as January 9. The dividend will be tax-free in the hands of unit holders. There will be a one-day book closure on January 10 under both the dividend and growth options of the fund. The net asset value of the fund as on January 5 is Rs 56.43.

ABN merger

ABN Amro Mutual Fund has merged its equity fund ABN Amro Dividend Yield Fund with ABN Amro Opportunities Fund. Following this the Dividend Yield Fund will cease to exist with effect from February 10.
