Manoj for NCA camp

Manoj Tiwary has been asked to attend a fitness camp at the NCA in Bangalore on Monday. “The board wants to see all the players before they pick the squad for the tri-series in Australia and so chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar has asked Manoj to be present,” a senior CAB official said on Saturday.

Four for Pace Foundation

Four medium-pacers — Nilabha Debnath and Ranjit Prasad (from U-19), Vilas Rajdeokar and Arijit Saha (17) — will attend a pace bowlers’ training camp in Chennai from January 13. Two other bowlers from the U-22 category will go. They will leave on January 12.

Sayan Das will meet Biman Patra in the nursery boys’ final of the Biswadeep Bhattacharya Memorial Table Tennis championship on Sunday. Sayan defeated Biman Patra 11-5, 12-10 while Rohan Biswas edged out Nilangan Sarkar 11-8, 7-11, 11-9 in the semi-finals.
