Piramyd Retail stake

Indiabulls Wholesale Services, the retail arm of Indiabulls Real Estate, has acquired 87.83 lakh shares of Piramyd Retail. The company acquired theses shares, representing 43.92 per cent of the paid-up equity capital, from promoters and associates at a price of Rs 31.29 each, which is less than the open offer price of Rs 74.73 each, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The equity was bought in terms of a share purchase agreement dated December 8 through an off market transaction.

Batliboi move

Batliboi plans to raise up to Rs 100 crore through qualified institutional placement (QIP) of equity shares. Shares prices will be determined according to QIP guidelines. The company will also reclassify 9.57 lakh preference shares of Rs 100 each into 1.91 crore equity shares of Rs 5 each.

Bapi jubilee

City-based Bapi Construction has completed 25 years in railway electrical construction work. The company is engaged in overhead electrification work for the Indian Railways. It recently completed electrification work between Krishnanagar and Lalgola.

BPTP zones

The BPTP group companies has received a go-ahead from the Board of Approvals to set up two product-specific SEZs in Gurgaon and Faridabad for IT services and ITeS through its subsidiaries Perpetual Infracon Pvt Ltd and Gracious Buildcon Pvt Ltd.

Hyundai Motor

Hyundai Motor India Ltd has registered a combined sale of 3,27,160 vehicles in calender year 2007, an increase of 9.2 per cent over the previous year. Domestic sales grew 7.6 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 2,00,412 units. Exports grew 11.8 per cent to 1,26,748 units.

SP Apparels

SP Apparels Ltd has acquired Sri Balaji Bakiam Spinning Mill. The company said the acquisition will add Rs 11 crore to its topline.

Gujarat NRE

Gujarat NRE Resources NL, the Australian flagship of the Gujarat NRE Coke group, has acquired the Elouera mine from BHP Billiton, which was part of the Illawarra Coal business located in New South Wales, Australia.

Classic Stripes

Classic Stripes has launched two brands of automobile graphics, Dashboard Trims and Car Graphics, in the city. Dashboard Trims cost between Rs 600 and Rs 1,200 and designs under Car Graphics cost in the range of Rs 150 to Rs 2,500.

Timond watch

Timond has launched Classic Tycoon, a wristwatch targeted at businessmen. The product is available for Rs 37,000.
