Margao: Salgaocar rallied to hold JCT 3-3 in an exciting ninth-round match of the ONGC I-League at the Nehru Stadium on Thursday.

Eduardo da Silva, Marcos Pereira and Anwar scored for JCT, while Felix Chimaoku, Joe Rodrigues and Nicholas Rodrigues hit bull’s eye for the Goan team.

Salgaocar, who dominated proceedings, had only themselves to blame for not collecting full points as Felix and Milagres Gonsalves missed a sitter each. JCT, who are atop the standings, finished the first leg with 19 points. Salgaocar have just four points in their kitty.

Salgaocar medio Rocus Lamare was declared the Man of the Match.

For JCT, Da Silva, Pereira and Anwar scored while Felix, Joe Rodrigues and Nicholas Rodrigues found the net for Salgaocar. (PTI)
