Sweet treats

What: Introduction of truffle chocolates.

Chocolate delights: This festive season, there is one more excuse to indulge ó if you needed one, that is. Fourteen flavours of chocolates from the Sorino range have been imported from Italy, in flavours like Dark Choco King, Scacco Matto Hazelnut, Gran Noisette Hazelnut, Cocoa Beans Crema and Sorinette Tiramisu Italiana. The soft-centred truffles have fillings like coffee cream, tiramisu and mint cream.

With Christmas in mind, the candy shop has special jars in the shape of Santa Claus and Disney characters, and is handing out complimentary treats dipped in chocolate syrup from the fountain. Wafers, marble cake and tarts along with brownies and marshmallows are the perfect dipping bites.

What: Festive menu at Mama Mia!

Frozen delights: The gelato specialists have introduced new flavours for the festive season. Snickers and Mars are adaptations of popular chocolates with peanuts and caramel. Fresh Strawberries Gelato Sundae consists of vanilla gelato with dollops of homemade strawberry coulis, topped with chunks of fresh strawberry. Crepes with Fresh Strawberries, only available at the Ballygunge Circular Road outlet, are freshly-made crepes, topped with strawberries, whipped cream and French vanilla gelato.

Frozen Plum Pudding Shots are miniature desserts made with French vanilla gelato and plum pudding. Then there is the Minted Yule Log Cake, made with minty After Eight gelato, rich chocolate cake and gooey truffle.
